NEUROLOGICAL PHYSIOTHERAPY
Rewiring movement. Restoring independence.
Neurological physiotherapy (neuro physio) is a specialist therapy for people with neurological conditions or central nervous system injuries. Unlike traditional physiotherapy, it harnesses the brain’s ability to adapt and form new pathways through targeted, repetitive movement—helping rebuild control and function.
Our specific specialism in this area is in supporting ambulating clients with suspected or previously diagnosed neurological issues or with conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson’s Disease, and stroke. Treatment combines neuro physio techniques, hands-on therapy, and machine-based Pilates to enhance balance, coordination, strength, and overall movement.
“Miranda at Corefit Physio has been an exceptional physiotherapist. I have a long-term health condition that leaves my muscles weak and underutilised, and she has been incredibly gentle and understanding throughout. Together, we’ve developed a bespoke exercise programme that is already making a noticeable difference to my daily routine. Miranda is so supportive and encouraging – I only wish I had started seeing her sooner!
Your journey begins with a detailed assessment of your condition, abilities, and goals. From this, we create a personalised treatment plan designed to improve function, maintain independence, and support your progress in the short, medium, and long term.

VESTIBULAR PHYSIOTHERAPY
Reset your balance. Reclaim you confidence.
Vestibular physiotherapy is a specialist treatment for dizziness, vertigo, and balance problems. A detailed assessment of your balance systems—especially the inner ear – helps identify the cause and guide a targeted treatment plan.
A common condition we treat is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), caused by displaced inner ear crystals. This can trigger sudden dizziness with head movements. Treatment may include repositioning techniques (such as Epley or Semont manoeuvres) alongside a personalised exercise programme to retrain balance, coordination, and visual control.
Exercises are designed to safely challenge symptoms, helping your brain adapt and reducing their impact on daily life. Where symptoms may be linked to other medical causes, we will guide you towards the appropriate care.
“A couple of months ago I had an unexpected episode of BPPV. It was a very frightening experience. I discovered that Miranda specialises in neurological and vestibular conditions and made an appointment to see her. I was very reassured after my visit and knew exactly what I needed to do should I have a reoccurrence. Thank you Miranda for guiding me though this time.”
Your journey starts with a comprehensive assessment, followed by tailored treatment and ongoing support to restore balance and confidence.
TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT (TMJ) PHYSIOTHERAPY
Relieve jaw pain. Restore natural movement.
TMJ physiotherapy treats dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint—the hinge connecting your jaw to your skull. Problems here can lead to jaw pain, clicking or locking, headaches, ear discomfort, and difficulty chewing or opening your mouth.
Treatment begins with a detailed assessment of jaw movement, muscle tension, posture, and contributing habits such as clenching or grinding. Therapy may include hands-on techniques, both externally and internally (within the mouth), to reduce stiffness and pain. You’ll also be guided through targeted exercises to improve jaw control and alignment, alongside advice on posture and everyday habits.
The aim is to reduce discomfort, restore smooth, pain-free movement, and help you return to daily activities like eating and speaking with confidence.
Your journey starts with a comprehensive assessment, followed by tailored treatment and ongoing support to restore movement and alleviate pain.
