Rhen Hitchens
Rhiannon (known as Rhen) grew up in Grong Grong (rural community) and Wagga Wagga, Australia. She was always involved in a range of sports such as netball, dancing, swimming, AFL and golf.
Rhen has always been passionate and interested in health. Volunteering for 4 months in Fiji (2009), working with children who had physical and developmental disabilities set her on a path that led to Physiotherapy. Prior to commencing University studies, Rhen also worked as an Allied Health Assistant in a private practice in Goulburn, in a Physiotherapy and Chiropractic clinic in the UK (2014) and Wagga Wagga Base Hospital. For the last 5.5 years of her career she has worked amongst a multidisciplinary team in private practice in Wagga Wagga..
Her interest areas are golf fitness, breathing assessments, women’s health, clinical and mat pilates. Rhen has recently completed multiple Australian Physiotherapy Association Women’s Health & Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy courses, following her passion to help empower women with their health throughout their lifespan.
Rhen’s golf fitness assessments are for golfers of any age who wish to optimise their performance and minimise their risk of injury. Rhen will perform a comprehensive, golf-specific assessment, review your golf swing and collaboratively, develop an individualised program to address your specific needs. ’Hands on’ physiotherapy can also be implemented throughout your treatment plan as required. This multifaceted approach will help improve your physical abilities, enabling you to play better golf for longer.
Outside of work, Rhen enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family, friends and dog Baxter, travelling & playing golf
